21 day vegan detox starts this week! I will also be cutting out gluten and refined sugar. I’ve also joined the Vegas hot yoga and Pilates studio. I am loving it! Classes along with clean eating, a great way to get in shape and feel better overall! I took the Pilates class yesterday, it was challenging and fun. I am trying yoga tonight.
I will be posting recipes along the way of my 21 days as a full vegan. I am considering giving up meat all together, well I’d still eat wild seafood. But all land meats I have no problem giving up. Not for weight loss but for true health benefits. Plus I very much on a core level disagree with how animals are treated in American farms that produce for the masses. I will not contribute to that. Animals still deserve our kindness even if we choose to eat them. They do not deserve abuse. (Sorry for my little rant).
I can’t wait to start this plan! Measurements will be done today… Now off to trader joes to stock up! :)
I woke up feeling a little congested. I can not tell If this feeling is the early stages of a cold or just allergies. Either way, I made a super juice and feel much better already!
I’m positive the garlic and ginger were the miracle workers in this juice. And it was super delicious! I also had a glass of my super green food drink mix for additional antioxidants.
Now time to work out! I had slacked off some at the start of the new year. Running here and there. But for the past two weeks I’ve been really intentional about my nutrition and exercise. I’m down five pounds, and still going. I have new fitness and weight goals. Luckily this time won’t be so hard, as I’ve lost the bulk of my fat. Now it’s time to tone!
If you’ve reached a weight loss hurdle or plateau, push through it! Keep going! It is hard work, but it sets you apart from those who want to give up because they do not want to put the discipline into a healthy lifestyle. People love to complain about their life, set yourself apart and show them by actions how much hard work and good choices pay off! Have an amazing week friends!!
Thursday I will be flying home to Florida for a long holiday vacation! I am really looking forward to seeing family and friends. I am really excited to run the lakes in town, pass the healthy lifestyle I have created for myself with my family. Our Christmas dinner will be a little different this year, as I will be cooking healthier options than the traditional processed laden foods we usually enjoy. I am getting a little creative in my plans, I will share photos and recipes after Christmas.
I have not been as dedicated to my work outs as I should be, and man do I feel it! I have started using Nike Training Club app for at home work outs. I actually do them in the gym as well. They are so challenging but I love them! A great app, I recommend it to everyone! I will be using it while at home. I also plan to learn how to play tennis this trip, with a friend. I am really looking forward to that as well.
